Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and ate a TON . . . .I know I did!
We begin reading Great Expectations this week! Just to recap what we discussed in class, this novel tells the story of Pip, an English orphan who rises to wealth, deserts his true friends, and becomes humbled by his own arrogance. Sounds great right?!
To keep you updated: The marking period officially ends on Tuesday the 27th. We'll be getting new seats! Think of the new marking period as a fresh start- if you weren't satisfied in your performance the first marking period, this is your chance to make the change and push to success. I'll be cheering you on along the way!
Let me leave you with this dear readers: Dickens begins our story with 7 year old Pip visiting his parents graves near the marshes on Christmas Eve afternoon. Why would he do that? What is he trying to establish?
