And finish it just as quick! That's right folks we're starting and finishing an entire Act this week AND having a test on Monday.
Back to our story! Things are getting pretty intense.
Now keep in mind that the next 42 hours of the play are going to be pivital so pay close attention!
We're also going to have an essay this weekend. I'm going to provide you with an outline to aid you in your writing. Please keep in mind you WILL need to cite from the play and CORRECT MLA citations are as followed:
"Do not deny to him that you love me" (IV, i, 25).
Your essay must be in your GOOGLE DRIVE FOLDER by MIDNIGHT, 12AM Monday, February 24th. If you want me to look over your essay while you're writing it, make sure it is in your Google Drive folder as a Google Drive Document for me to edit by 12pm Sunday. I will not look over/edit any essays after that point.
When I look over your essays I'm looking for specific things- things we've discussed in class and that have been included in DOZENS of handouts. The biggest is to follow the format!
For your body paragraphs:
1. Utilize a transition word or phrase that leads into your topic sentence.
2. State your argument- it can be as simple as "After initially seeming to be a loyal friend, the Nurse proves to be disloyal to Juliet."
3. Provide me with CONTEXTUAL evidence (as in from the book!) that proves your argument to be true.
4. Analyze the quote- explain to me in detail how that quote proves your argument to be true. (There is an entire handout on this!)
Let's break it down rubric style!
Hope my tips have helped. Please adhere to the deadlines!
